4 Color Printing Tips

Here are some tips and tricks for 4 color printing to get beautiful full color printed products. If you follow basic guidelines you can get rich beautiful vibrant colors for your commercial printing.
CMYK FORMAT When you are ready to send in your artwork for print make sure you convert from RGB to CMYK color formats. RGB or red, green, and blue color schemes are used by computers to render images on your monitor. To get full color on your business cards and whatnot we use 4 color commercial printers that work with CMYK color. CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black.
300DPI For optimum results use at least 300DPI. Be careful as computer and web devices usually have images saved at 72DPI. That type of resolution may be blurry and definitly not as vibrant as a 300DPI image. BLEEDSTo get professional looking results it is often advised that you use a .25" bleed. You can download a template from our website. Pretty much extend your artwork beyond a quarter inch of the final printed size to allow for safety. You don't want your work to be cut off where it is not meant to be (like text) so keep important items away from the cut line and inside the safety line.
